80 years to become the new Oldies
80 years to become the new Oldies Now certainly not fly fast. Although I am more than aware that we are in the early stages of the 21st century, it was recently pointed out that for me the music of the 1980 hours covered by the oldies genre. Oldies? As the music of my youth, may be given the same label that the songs produced during the period of oscillation, the British invasion, and the short life debacle known as the disco? After retrospect, I realize that I have heard, at any time, a new wave of hair or a classic-I have a band singing sensation of nostalgia, a witness who signs a song is a classic (but great). Much of the music from the Reagan era has been dismissed as trivial fluff, but I do not subscribe to that concept. Of course, the substance and the integrity of the songs pale in comparison to the brilliant story by some of today? S singer / songwriters, but at the time was about fun, and that? What songs delivered. He was dressed in funky clothes and lasted be-bopping on the head or synth band Bangin 'with the guitar crunch of hot metal. Cyndi Lauper and Poison said better with their Top 10 hits? Girls Just Want To Have Fun? e? Nothin? But one now? respectively. Some quality acts such as U2 and REM, are unfairly grouped with the multitude of flash-in-the-pan artists enjoyed the success of? 80th May this decade has been kind enough to open doors and expose their music to the masses, but their writing was far ahead of time and proved to be a catalyst for their longevity in the spotlight. They should 't be done in the same breath, like Twisted Sister, Roxette and Katrina and the wave (including mundane? Walking on Sunshine? It seems to be all pervasive? Compiling for 80 years always hit the record shelves.) While the majority the groups had a small window of opportunity for them? 80 years, few actually used this time, as one step, and have prospered in many today? s market and probably see the end of their career with a punch their tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Acts as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Bon Jovi, U2 and REM and that will be dedicated to the sacred room in Cleveland, while a shot wonders like Kajagoogoo (? Too Shy?), Dexy's Midnight Runners (? Come on Eileen?) And Toni Basil (? Micky?) will never enter the building unless they pay the admission price. Many acts that rose to the height of popularity in the 80's, quickly fell into disgrace and completely disappeared (only to appear as a result was one of VH1 process) or the evil in the coming years in their attempts to find a piece of their past success. Def Leppard, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Cure, Huey Lewis & News, The Human League, and Pat Benatar is still chuing of new versions, but just a dent on the charts and gruff aren t heard? Cha-Ching? of the body that the rich over the years singing stars past. Two recently moved to the extreme, to promote new albums each time the sun had gone through. Go-Go's frontwoman Belinda Carlisle landed? Playboy? about the same time, they released their effort to retu? God Bless the Go-Go? art? While the album was critically adored, music lovers n capricious? T seem to care, regardless of the audacious attempt to advertise. (I must admit that I am one of the few who bought both the CD and the magazine? It is like!) Former teen sensation Tiffany ( "I think we are? Re Alone Now?), Follow the footsteps of Carlisle and was presented in an application for the post? Playboy? in an attempt to generate interest in his largely ignored? The colors of silence? release. This stratagem has not generated the expected results, what we have been spared Debbie Gibson (oops, what? S Deborah Gibson hour) showin? What is it? s got in the pages of some men? magazine.Lately s,? the music of 80 years was used as a marketing ploy (sometimes to my regret). Over the past five years, there have been two of San Francisco area radio stations have changed the format, first identifying how? 80 stations. It 'been a dream for me, a place on my line my favorite genre. I could not get enough of him, as I have enjoyed for hours and hours of these children, who were once simply a treatment of some stations planned a long weekend holiday. Then, after a week of nostalgia for reeling in suckers like me, started the sequence of songs to move (pain Alert). They began to play the latest songs by artists associated with? 80th The songs of Madonna and U2 were nesting with the fare, I was accustomed to hear. Then slipped in a few shots before the end? 90, which is a red flag that means that a major change is around the coer. Finally, the? Hits of the 80's have largely been fazed by an adult Top 40 format, which is your base of slow-tempo pop music today, with a handful of classics that I was listening to the station, at first place. If there are radio stations that are dedicated to other eras past, I can t understand why it can not be a good market on the waves? 80s.Regardless know if I can listen? 80 years of music on the radio 24 / 7, I will continue to take the great memories that report to me. Accept the fact that I no longer carefree youth, but? S is regress to my youth, when I hear one of my favorites of the Me Generation. All that may invoke special moments of my life is worth examining, on a regular basis. Perhaps this? Why do I have? Hits of the 80's, the collections on CD should have.About author: When not to listen to music, Brian Kohlmeier is a co-founder of SwapThing.com, changing the way people exchange goods and services over the Inteet.
