Play All sounds the same
Play All sounds the same Many students want to create music that has a certain emotional quality. For example, once had a student ask me to show her playing something that seemed happy.Of course, the students lost all of my teaching - where to play is emotionally and not try to achieve something. I tried to explain that if she was happy, then the natural result of this music would be a natural corollary of the statement emotion. As flavor to the proceedings, there will be time, perhaps many times, when the music coming from the same sounds. Many interpret this as uncreative is that, when in fact they are true to yourself. When not trying to get the material, but, instead, is the music, or does not want to force the creative act. Instead, it allows you to express to you the moment - whatever the sound may be.If someone tells you that everything you play sound the same, recognizing that in silence as a compliment and know that you are being true to yourself and integrity of the artistic process! When you are more interested in enjoying the act of creation, and then trying to process the material, you are way ahead of the game!
