Educate them on how American music has evolved and how the blues roots of popular forms of music today is important to us. The recognition and exposure to blues music has recently received publicity, and, more recently, the award-winning film "O Brother Where art thou" has brought more people to appreciate the sound, style and art that is defines the Blues. Nat Dove In 1978, the city of Chicago Public Schools presents "Blues in Schools" program to be even stronger for more than two decades later and has since spread throughout the country and also worldwide. In this program are invited to professional blues musicians in schools to conduct classes in the history of blues, famous blues musicians, different styles of blues, and how to write, sing and perform the blues.
